Embedded Systems (ES I und II)

At the end of the module the students will have detaliied knowledge about architectures, signal processing as well as for the design and the realisation of hardware and software platforms of computer controlled embedded systems. Besides the students are able to assess the application potentials of formal description methods (especially state machines) and its mapping to task classes. With successful finalisation of this module students are able to apply methods for the design, the validation (test) and the realisation of embedded systems. This covers software as well es hardware (e.g. FPGA and DSP). Excercises enable students guided to deepen its knowledge and abillities research oriented and to apply and asses in complex problem situations.
