To solve real problems it is necessary to image in an abstract world and to apply solution based methods. The IFAT therefore offers the system identification und modelling, the system theory and control technology as a theoretical well-founded solution strategy. The measure technology provides the data base for the model parameterisation as well as for the operation. If abstract solutions are found, they have to be realized into real systems. This is task of the chair integrated automation technology, where devices and systems are model based considered. The industrial production is one of the fundamental field of applications, which are bound into the lectures as examples.
